Accounting Technician/Cash Control

Arcata – FT – The primary function of this position is to provide accounts receivable support by examining for accuracy all claims and remittance documentation from third party payers for payment for services. Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reconcilation and recapitulation of third party billing to assure that collection, billed data, and the computerized and manual reports are in balance. 

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) years experience working in a billing office and have the ability to perform all duties of the position.

Must be able to work with American Indians and be sensitive to their culture; in accordance with P.L. 93-638 American Indian Preference will be given.

Annual Salary $29,868.80/yr to $37,336/yr DOE

Community Health Representative I

Elk Valley – Full Time – Assists in providing services and acts as an advocate and resource person for clients and family members; documents interactions with families, staff and community agencies according policy. Applicant will perform vital sign measurements and other basic procedures including blood glucose screening, basic first aid, and diabetic foot care. 

Minimum must have a High School or GED; and one or more years of related experience.

Job Description: 

Ambulatory Services Director

Arcata – Full-time – Provides strategic leadership to and administrative responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating Ambulatory Care Services including outpatient Medical, Nursing, Laboratory and Vision Services. Insures integration of services and compliance with long range objectives and strategies, accountable for the financial aspects of Ambulatory Services, such as planning, forcasting, developing and managing the annual budget; understands the payer environment, billing and fee scale requirements of the facility. 

Must have a BA/BS degree in related field or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration preferred. Must have five (5) years + experience in healthcare management at administrative level with demonstrated leadership and management skills in a hospital or ambulatory care setting.

Must be able to work with American Indians and be sensitive to their culture; in accordance with P.L. 93-638 American Indian Preference will be given.

 

Annual Salary $86,299.20/yr to $111,612.80/yr DOE

Summer Camp Coordinators

Seeking letters of interest for the Annual UIHS May-Gay-Tolh-Kwe Youth Summer Camp scheduled for July 8-12, 2013.

Please submit letters of interest including related experience to Human Resources by Wednesday, May 15, 2013 for Independent Contractors to serve as CO-COORDINATORS (2 positions).

The Summer Camp Co-Coordinators are responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the UIHS Summer Camp 2013. Another key component for this position is to provide guidance and leadership for all other UIHS Summer Camp staff. 

Leadership training for staff will be provided and includes team-building activities, an overview of the roles and responsibilities, basic first aid training and emergency protocol, and a review of the camp agenda. This training is scheduled to be held prior to Summer Camp on Monday, July 8, 2013 and all staff will be required to attend.

Triage Nurse/Vaccine Coordinator

Arcata - Fulltime - Under the general direction of the Nurse Manager utilizes the nursing process to provide appropriate and culturally sensitive care to UIHS clients.  Assists in the day-to-day operations of the clinic as assigned by providing nursing services to include: administer intravenous fluids and mediation, intramuscular, intrademal, and subcutaneous medication and injections and injection to clinets as directed by the provider; immunizations, health instruction to patients following examination, triage and telephone clients and wound care. 

Must have a CA RN License and two (2) - three (3) years related experience preferred, preferably in an outpatient clinic.

Must be able to work with American Indians and be sensitive to their culture; in accordance with P.L. 93-638 American Indian Preference will be given.

Annual Salary: $48,526.40/yr to $72,259.20/yr DOE
